Hey everyone,
It’s sort of a bittersweet day for me because my program Write With Me, which runs every year from January to March, comes to an end today. The final day!
We wrote 750,000+ words in total as a group this year, and I’ve personally written more than 76,000 words since January.
I asked some of the amazing writers who’ve been part of this program if they’d give me a testimonial and I was looking through all the emails that came in this evening and a few things popped out for me:
“You push us, but in a caring way.”
“Tasha helps you think bigger and push the limits that are just in our heads.”
“You always strike the right balance between keeping us, and yourself, honest while being encouraging and playful and genuine about the day-to-day struggles that come up that challenge us as writers.”
Pushing beyond the limits the world set for me is something that came naturally to me.
It was also, as I have written about recently, something that was nurtured in me by my family, especially my father.
I love pushing myself to achieve things I never could have even imagined possible, and now I get to see this happening with the writers in my programs and who coach with me. I cannot tell you how satisfying it is to see someone utterly shocked at what they’ve achieved, how quickly, and while having fun with the whole process.
Information is everywhere, you can learn the information from reading free blogs and articles, including mine. It’s implementing that information, making it a part of your life, enjoying the work that you do and having it fit around your dreams and desires, that I believe is my gift. It’s making you see your magic, opening you up to possibilities that you didn’t believe could be yours for the taking, helping you see and believe that it’s just as easy to play at the top as it is to play small or in the middle.
It’s not just mindset, it’s not just ambition. It’s connecting your vision to who you actually are and what you truly want. It’s being able to align your actions to your dreams, not just the dreams that the world tells you to have, but the dreams that are truly yours, no matter whether they’re big or small.
To not only never have to explain or justify or apologize for your grand ambitions, but to also have someone standing beside you, looking out over the horizon with you, saying, “That sounds like a beautiful dream. Let’s work out what we have to do and who we have to become to get there.”
I now make, per month, a little less than what I used to make per year as a freelancer in India. My next goal is to make per month what I made in my first year of business in the UK.
I know this is triggering to some, but I’m not interested in offering up a dulled down, mediocre version of myself to the world because it makes some people uncomfortable to see a woman being so unapologetically ambitious.
I know it can be done; three of the coaches I’ve worked with do it on repeat month after month, which means that I can do it, too. And when I do, the people who follow me, who work with me, who read my work will take away the same lesson I have from following the success of people I follow online: If they could do it, I can do it, too.
If I can do it, you can do it.
Therefore, it becomes my responsibility to not only do it, but to then talk about it, share my vision, share my successes, and help you uncover your own limits so that we can all rise up together.
Which is why I do.
Cheers,
Natasha
