Hey everyone,
I am incredibly grateful that I get to make my living putting words on the page and making up stories.
I’m even more grateful on the days that I wake up bitchy and curmudeonly and have the gall to complain that “it’s too hard.”
An eight-hour shift waiting tables is hard. An hour-long commute is hard. Being away from your kids and only seeing them for two hours in the evening is hard.
Sitting at your desk and making shit up that people will read, enjoy, learn from, and share?
It’s an honor, a privilege.
I believe in finding flow and ease and joy in the work that we do.
I believe in a heart-centered way of doing business; helping people whilst honoring the creative force that comes through you.
I believe in dreaming big dreams and taking small steps consistently to bring them to fruition.
I believe in writing things that change the way people think, they way they see the world, and themselves.
I believe in using the power that having a voice affords me to take a stand on the things I care about and the issues that matter.
I believe in seeing writing as a gift, not a curse.
I believe this gets to be as easy or as difficult as you choose for it to be.
If writing isn’t making you happy, then you need to fix that.
Don’t make your happiness dependent on some ambiguous target. Choose it now.
I believe flow should be your default state when writing.
I believe that when you love not only what you create, but the process of creating it, the money automatically follows.
I believe that there has never been a better, more profitable time to be a writer.
I believe that our time is now.
Cheers,
Natasha
